Walter Patrick Tallent

Walter married Katharina Becker on Jul 15, 1954 in Speicher, Germany. Following his service in the US Air Force, Walter worked in packing & crating at PSNS. He retired, and went on to work as a driver & supervisor for Kitsap Transit. Walter enjoyed traveling, camping with his family, hunting, fishing, & driving the bus to the ski resorts. He was also an active member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Katharina; children, Inga Russell (Harvey), Barbara Winger, Karen Obert, Mike Tallent (Shirley), & Jerry Tallent (Ginny); 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren (and another on the way); sisters, Sharon Vigil of Puyallup and Colleen Wells of Bremerton; sister-in-law, Elsie Coane of CA; & numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Walter will be 4 – 7 pm on Mon, Feb 25th at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am Tues, Feb 26th at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, with a rosary preceding at 9:30 am. He will be laid to rest at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
