A Committal Service will be held at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 BLADENSBURG RD, BRENTWOOD, MD 20722, US, on September 10, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
Addie E. Washington was born on August 28, 1954, in Baltimore, MD. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, family member, and friend whose life touched everyone who knew her. For 35 years, Addie faithfully served with the U.S. Department of the Treasury before retiring. Throughout her life, she had a special way of making people feel loved, welcomed, and cared for. Her warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit brought comfort and happiness to her family and friends.
The memories she created and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Addie found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, playing the slots at the casino, cruising, and relaxing at the beach house with her sisters. She also shared her vibrant personality and beautiful spirit as a content creator known affectionately as “The Fine Granny” on TikTok.
Her smile, laughter, voice, and loving presence brought joy to those around her. Every conversation, embrace, and shared moment became part of the treasured memories she leaves behind. Although Addie has departed this life, the love she gave will never leave us. As we mourn her passing, we also give thanks for the beautiful life she shared with us and for the many blessings she brought into our lives.
Addie leaves behind her beloved husband, Vincent Washington, whom she loved dearly for more than 30 years. She leaves to cherish her memory: Her Children: Sheila Douglas, Jermaine Douglas, Keisha Washington and the late Renay Douglas; Her Sisters: Theresa Douglas, Margret Threatt; Her Brother, Steve Douglas, and Her Grandchildren: Deshawn Douglas, Milton Douglas, Deonia Douglas, Hope Douglas, Keith Douglas, Melony Douglas, Marcus Douglas, Jameeka Douglas, Amina Douglas, Khalil Douglas, Kylah Douglas, and 11 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren.
Addie’s legacy will continue through her family, whose lives were forever changed by her love, guidance, and devotion.
