Andrew realized the goodness of God and accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Gethsemane Baptist Church, Washington, DC in May 1994.
Drew, as he was affectionately known, was educated in the Montgomery County Public Schools. After graduating from Wheaton High School in 1998, he attended Montgomery Community College. Andrew’s love for cars and how they worked sent him to Lincoln Technical School, where he received an associate degree as an Automotive Technician. He worked in this field until December 2022. He also worked as a teacher’s assistant.
In July 2015, Drew met Laren Beasley. They were married on September 30, 2016, in Washington, DC and moved to Oxon Hill, MD, where they resided until May 2019. In May 2019 they moved to Washington DC.
Despite all that Andrew was going through he always had a smile on his face. He never complained. He was a special person that was thoughtful, fun loving, caring, and considerate of others. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those that needed it and expected nothing in return. He touched many lives and will be missed.
Andrew had many passions. His first love was always family. He loved his family and enjoyed being surrounded by them. He would often grill out, no matter the weather, just to have them around. Family was everything to Andrew. Growing up together like siblings, Andrew and Ebony had their own special bond. There would be no separating those two. Speaking of family, let us not forget the three amigos, Andrew, Derick and Richard, brothers of different mothers, but you could not tell once they got together. The bond they had was like no other. He also loved music, especially the blues, and playing the guitar. When it came to sports, he was a walking encyclopedia.
Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Darnell Coley and two uncles, Benjamin Tramell and Douglas Tramell.
Those remaining to cherish his wonderful memories are his devoted wife, Laren Coley; his mother, Deborah Coley; four (4) aunts – Brenda Coley (DC), Ruthell McEwan (MD), Janzell Coley (DC) and Zola Johnson (NC); four (4) great aunts – Lila White (NY), Esther Thompson (VA), Edna Faison (NC), and Mary Thompson (NJ); one (1) uncle, Charles E. (Stephanie) Landon; three (3) special uncles – Wallace Edwards, David Akers, and David Neverson; three (3) special brothers from another mother, William Jones, Omar Buchanan, Michael “Eskimo” Mitchell and a host of relatives and friends.
