It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our dearly loved father, Aparicio Sebastian Merino, who left us on Tuesday July 9, 2024, at 73 years old. While our hearts mourn his loss, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering.
Aparicio was born January 28, 1951, in his beloved country San Vicente, El Salvador to parents; Sebastian and Amparo Merino, the youngest of eleven children. Aparicio is survived by his brother’s Emilio Merino and Benjamin Alejandro Merino, and sister Gregoria Consuelo Garcia.
Aparicio’s loving spirit is carried on by his wife of 35 years Haydee Merino and their children; Alban Alexander Merino, Soroya Marilyn Cignatta, Maritza Yamilet Merino. He is also survived by his sons Elmer Merino, Robert Merino, Sergio Merino and daughters Evelyn Merino, Marlene Fuentes. Aparicio’s legacy is forever cherished and remembered by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be missed and remembered by many lives he’s touched.
Aparicio embodied the best qualities. He had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He was clever and full of knowledge. He carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those around him. His legacy will forever live on through the countless lives he’s touched. Though we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the life he lived.
Family and friends are invited for Aparicio’s Memorial Service to be held 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 2nd, 2024, followed by Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Funeral Service to follow at Fort Lincoln Home & Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, Maryland 20722 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a catered reception. This is a private event.
