Born in North Carolina, Audrey had a vibrant personality and was a very social person.
Audrey loved to dance – whether for fun, for work, or while teaching others. She performed as one of the original Redskinette cheerleaders from 1962 to 1966 and later remained an active member of the Redskinette Alumni Association. A devoted fan, she never changed her colors from Burgundy & Gold.
After retiring from a career with the Department of Agriculture, Audrey enjoyed traveling, especially cruises and visits to Aruba. She also loved watching the Olympics and other sporting events, particularly gymnastics.
Affectionately known as “Tu-Tu” to her grandchildren and “AA” or “Aunt Audrey” to her nieces and nephews, Audrey always signed off her notes and cards with “Love you bunches”.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Avery F. and Lucy H. Lakey; and siblings, Geraldine Lakey Bitango, Paul Lakey, Avery “AG” Lakey, Douglas Lakey, Linda Lakey, Marcia Lakey Powell, and Robert Lakey; and grandson, William F. Reagan V.
She is survived by her children, Tina M Lee (John) and William “Bill” F Reagan IV; grandchildren, Troy A Garris, Benjamin S Garris, and Angela M Reagan; great-grandchildren, Nathan P Garris, Caitlyn E Garris, Kayla Reagan, Aiden Dandridge, and Ashton Dandridge; many nieces and nephews, including her treasured niece, Sharla Domogauer (Greg) and her children, Ryan Domogauer and Carlie Schlegel (Ben); along with many dear friends.
