My heartfelt condolences to Michael and the rest of the family. I will always remember Ms. Betty as a kindhearted and humble person who was always so concerned about helping others. She also had a steadfast faith in God and was not hesitant to praise Him. She’s resting peacefully with Him now.

Mom and I enjoying an Italian dinner at one of my parents favorite restaurants.

Empty car,
a hollow space.
No voice beside me
on the work-day race.

Every day,
"Hello, Mom, it's me."
Now just silence,
stretching endlessly.

You were my copilot,
my knowing friend,
someone who listened
until the very end.

No better mother,
that much I know.
I miss our talks,
I'll miss you so.

The first time I met Betty, we were in a “training “ session at Partners In Care and she was sitting in a corner like a quiet little mouse. It was hard to believe just how shy she was. We clicked and I found I wanted to spend time with her. We went shopping sometimes. I took her to get her hair and nails done. But her favorite thing to do was eat (literally anything!) and sit at airport park with a milkshake and watch the planes coming in for landing. She had an amazing long term memory and would always talk about her family and things they did when they were younger.
I’m going to miss her terribly. She became like a second mother to me.

My heart is broken over the loss of such a truly beautiful soul. She was one of the kindest people I have ever known — always choosing to see the good in others and the positive in every situation. That was just who she was.

But beyond her kindness, she was an incredible friend. Over the many years, we shared countless talks about everything life could possibly bring — the highs, the lows, the worries, the laughter, and all the in-between moments. She listened without judgment, gave the most thoughtful advice, and somehow always made things feel lighter. Our conversations were a gift I will treasure forever.

I will always remember how she would never miss the chance to sample my fudge, cakes, or whatever snacks I had made. She made such a fuss over them, and it became one of our little unspoken traditions — just another simple, sweet piece of our friendship that I will hold close to my heart.

Her love for her family was unwavering, and the way she lit up and adored Teddy and every child she ever saw showed the depth of her gentle, nurturing heart. She loved fully and wholeheartedly.

I will miss her more than words can say, but I am so grateful for the years of friendship, the memories we created, and the bond we shared. She will forever hold a special place in my heart. 🤍

To me, Mrs Betty was like a second mom. She was our next door neighbor and every one loved her. She was the most sweet, caring and nurturing person I have ever known. I will always love and remember her.

Mrs. Betty and Mr. Bob moved into the house right next to my dad's childhood home when he was only 6 years old. About twenty years later, I grew up in that same house. On the other side of their home lived my grandparents. So, they found themselves right in the middle of my daily childhood escapades. Believe it or not, some of my fondest memories were made in their yard.

One memory stands out as if it happened yesterday. I was on my long walk back home (through their front lawn) when Mrs. Betty asked me to stop and help her pull the "weeds" from her yard. They were dandelions, still in their bright yellow state. After carefully going through her yard and picking every single dandelion (and I truly mean every one), she brought me inside, placed them in a vase, and told me how beautiful they were. She kept them until they turned brown. Looking back now, I understand she likely would have thrown them away, but because I helped her, she wanted to show me how much it meant by keeping and displaying them in her home. Earlier they were “weeds,” and suddenly they became beautiful flowers.

Mrs. Betty had a special talent for making you feel valued. Even after I grew up and moved away, whenever I returned to visit my family, she always made sure to catch me before I left just to tell me how proud she was of me and my sister and how much she enjoyed watching us grow up, and so on. Growing up next door to them is a blessing I will always cherish. They were a constant source of warmth and familiarity, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have known them for so many years. Keeping their family in my thoughts and sending my heartfelt condolences.

For the last 48 years that were in my life you taught me to love fully, forgive often and to be the best version of me. I going to miss our lunches out, laughing about things past and present. I may have started out being your daughter in law but ended up being your daughter. Thank you for all the lessons you taught me through my life and the unconditional love you always gave. Love you mom I will miss you and will see you again one day

There are two many wonderful memories to share. One I recall is when they allowed me to stay with Aunt Betty overnight in the office when she had her sleep study. She went right to sleep when they turned out the lights at 9pm. I, on the other hand have to have the TV on when I sleep or at least some background noise. I played games and looked at fb on my phone for hours. When I finally started to get tired, a nurse came in, turned on the lights and said it was time to go. Aunt Betty got up, (happy and perky )walked downstairs and out the front door, looked at me with a huge smile and said, " wanna go to breakfast"? I just looked at her and shook my head. It was 5am.

Grandma has always held a special place in my heart. Every summer she and Poppy welcomed my sister and I into their home where we enjoyed hearty breakfasts, movie nights and days at the swimming pool. She made sure that we felt at home and knew we were loved. As I got older and brought my own small family for visits, I could always count on seeing her waiting at the door or by the window for us to arrive. I will miss our weekend chats on the phone, ice cream runs to Friendly's and trips to the camp grounds. I miss you and love you, Grandma. I won't say goodbye, but see you later 🩵💙🩵
