

Betty will be remembered for her kindness, optimism, warm and cheerful spirit and quiet resilience. As a devoted wife and mother, Betty found her greatest joy in caring for her family, and she created a home where everyone felt welcomed and loved. Her greatest accomplishments are the innumerable lives touched by her kindness, patience and unwavering dedication.
Early in Betty’s career, she was a schoolteacher and then worked for many years as a florist, using her creativity to add a special touch to arrangements. Betty loved taking family trips, especially to Ocean City. Later in life, Betty’s dog “Teddy Bear” was her constant and faithful companion.
Betty is survived by her two sons, Robert Michael and David, eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is also survived by her brother, Gary. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Bob, and sister Ruth.
Services will be held at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD 20722. On Sunday, March 1, visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. On Monday, March 2, visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., a funeral service will be held from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. with burial immediately following.
