Beverly Bernita Daniels

July 21, 1956 – May 23, 2020
Obituary of Beverly Bernita Daniels
IN THE CARE OF

Fort Lincoln Funeral Home & Cemetery

A beautiful life came to an end when Beverly Bernita Daniels, age 63, departed her earthly home and entered her heavenly home suddenly on Saturday, May 23, 2020. Beverly, the oldest child of the late Ella Louise Bowden was born on July 21, 1956 in Washington, DC. Beverly is survived by her two beloved children, Lorena Daniels and Stephon Daniels (Natasha Daniels); 5 grandchildren, DeCarlos Daniels, Jada Daniels, Micah Daniels, Kamryn Gabourel and the late Jayden Daniels; 7 siblings: James Alston, Darryl Alston, Ernestine Fuller, Gordon Bannister, Sarita Mubarak, Tilmon Bannister, and the late DeCarlos Bannister; a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Beverly received her formal education from several District of Columbia Public Schools and retired from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) after 28 years of service. Beverly was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Beverly was like a second mother to her seven siblings, before raising two children of her own. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, listening to a variety of music, attending concerts and the movies. Beverly was always willing to help others; but had zero tolerance for drama. In fact, one of her infamous lines was “Too bad; so sad.” Beverly also enjoyed spending time with family and select number of close friends. In 2014, Beverly battled breast cancer, and won. Beverly was a “shero” to many and will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
