

Carmela, or “Kay” as she was affectionately known, is predeceased by her brother, Phillip Porto, her sister, Grace Lewis, and her husband Joseph Lombardo. She is survived by her 6 children, Margaret Ann Pohlen, Rita Marie Lombardo, Joseph Edward Lombardo II, Carla Marie Swiger, Maria Jacob, and Annamarie Grace Rohrer; 12 grandchildren, Cori Dungan, Johnny Torregrossa, Gina Patla, Joseph
Lombardo III, Elizabeth Muniz, Carmella Lombardo, Kenny Lombardo, Eric Semanski, Tyler Semanski, Rachel Jacob, Breanna Rohrer, and Mark Rohrer; and14 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Kay was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 17, 1923. She married the love of her life, Joe Lombardo, on January 20, 1946 and raised 6 kids “on a barber’s salary.”
Kay was a devoted wife and mother and created a warm home that was the gathering place where all enjoyed her excellent cooking and beautiful piano music.
A graveside service will be held at Fort Lincoln Cemetery on July 17, 2024 at 1:00 pm.
