She attended Garrett Elementary, Rabaut Junior High School, and graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy. She worked for the Department of Commerce and later for several agencies at the Department of Agriculture, where she retired from in December of 2019. She also attended Strayer University at night where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
She loved to travel, spend time with her family, garden, cook and read. She was a connoisseur of chocolate and avid lover of Prince. No matter what she was doing if any Prince song came on she stopped everything to sing and dance to his song’s, especially Raspberry Beret. She loved to cook. She mastered Macaroni and Cheese. Perfected cooking Steak, which was one of her favorite foods as well. Amongst these things she also loved math and politics. Any advice needed for finances she was the person to ask. And if you wanted to know how terrible the current administration is, let’s just say she didn’t hold back, to the point I would often have to say “Ma don’t say that out loud”. She also loved to shop. Clothes, shoes, kitchen gadgets, anything and everything for both of her daughters, and for home. Anything you mentioned to her she went and bought as a gift. She also loved the holidays.
She was our rock. To say she will be immensely missed is an understatement.
