Clemmie M. Wilson, 72, of Washington, D.C., transitioned peacefully on 1/1/2021. She was born to Granger Massey, Sr. and Frances Elizabeth Beagles Massey on September 22, 1948.

A native of Enoree, South Carolina, Clemmie graduated from Sanders High School in Laurens , South Carolina in 1966. In 1970, she graduated from Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina, where she met the love of her life Elias A. Wilson, Jr. They relocated to Washington, D.C. and married shortly thereafter.

On December 31, 2011, she retired from the prestigious international law firm of Steptoe & Johnson LLP after 35 years of service.

Clemmie was a member of Mount Horeb Baptist Church for over 35 years. She served on the Audit Committee, Constitution Committee, Senior Fellowship Guild, United Women of Mount Horeb, Nominations and Elections Committee, and Advisory Council.

Clemmie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Elias, and her children - Vanessa, Elisa, Jason and Jessica. She is also lovingly survived by her siblings – Debbie, Yancey, Granger, Jr., Raymond, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Clemmie was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She is deeply loved and missed by her family, extended family, and friends.
