

Collin Clemont Gaither was born at Columbia Hospital for Women, Washington, D.C., on December 18, 1976, to the late Emma Lois and James R. Gaither. Collin grew up in Southeast Washington D.C., and attended Campbell AME Church where he was baptized as a little boy. From an early age, Collin could read and identify scriptures.
Collin attended Assumption Catholic School from pre kindergarten to eighth grade, then attended St. John's College High School in Washington, D.C. and was in the Class of 1994. At St. John’s, Collin was a member of the Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) and the Black Students Alliance Club. Collin then went on to attend Howard University, Class of 2000. He was in the Accounting Program, and worked toward a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. As a young professional, Collin held a foreign service role in the U.S. Department of State. He enjoyed comedy, music, movies, reality shows, football, and basketball.
On June 30, 2024, Collin died of natural causes in Bowie, Maryland.
He is survived by his sisters Sharon Gaither, Katrina McLeod, and Michelle Wells, brothers Michael Gaither and Ian Harvey, niece Markia Gaither, nephews Clay and Anthony Harvey, grandnieces Naomi and Nina Pearl, and other relatives.
