Welcoming the new year with my brother in law and husband (New Year’s 2016/2017)

I’ll continue blowing out our candles 🎂😓.

I’ll miss my cake buddy more than words can say. Birthdays just won’t be the same without you, sharing the cake, the laughs, and those special moments. Your absence will always be felt, especially on the days we used to celebrate together. You’ll forever hold a special place in my heart. ❤️🎂

I loved growing up with you. Even though you’d start fights with me and always skip my turn. I loved eating ice cream and soda with you at night because grandma snuck us some without our moms knowing. I loved walking to Sacred Heart every morning and I actually loved going to the same school with you, even though you’d tell everybody that you have no idea who I am. I loved playing video games with you. I loved collecting Pokémon cards with you. I loved every single memory we made growing up. We were both young kids that felt alone. But when it was us, I didn’t feel alone. I love you more than you know. Please save a bowl of abuelita’s arroz con leche for me ❤️‍🩹
