
David was born July 25th, 1977, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC, David attended Keene Elementary, Reboot Junior HS, and briefly Calvin Coolidge High School in Washington DC, before transferring to High Point HS. In Beltsville Maryland, David worked at The Hampton Inn Hotel for 3 years with his older brother Andrew Jones Jr. After that he worked for UPS in their warehouse shipping department for 4 years. David was married on February 27th, 2006, to his wife of 20 years Bry’aun Johnson-Jones. David enjoyed living together with his Mother Dorothy Skinner, and Brother Eddie in Beltsville Maryland for many years, he loved hanging with his cousins and brothers on both the Skinner and Jones family. His favorite sports was basketball and the Chicago Bulls, and his favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys.
Growing up in DC and then living in Beltsville, David enjoyed time with his closes cousins, Joseph Jones (God Father to his late daughter Loren Jones), Richard & Warren Bibbs, DeBarrio White, Endrea White, Nathaniel “Pee Wee” White, Antoine Jones, Tyron “Debo” Jones, Jashawna Jones, Paula, James & the late Anthony Evans, William Jones Jr. Hanif Jones, and Erica “Kina” White, Sandra “Boopie” Lake, Michelle Jones, Shasherri Hindman, and his very best friends since he was a teenager, Mario Brown, Ty Rucker, Brain “Bone” Saunders, Shawn Prue, and a host of other friends he grew up with near Sheridan Street, in DC. David had a host of aunt’s and uncles on both the Skinner and Jones side, but he shared a very special bond as a 2nd mom with his aunt Ann White, also known as “Aunt Ba’sis” whom he was extremely close to as a youth.
David is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Louise Skinner, Father Andrew Jones Sr. daughter Loren Dorothy Jones, his Uncle William Jones Jr., Uncle Joseph Jones , Aunt Tina Jones, Emily Skinner, Father James H. Skinner, Aunts, Barbra Washington, Ann Elizabeth Skinner, Mammie Thornton, Uncle James H. Skinner, his sister-in-law, Marisa Savage, and his wife’s grandfather, Bishop Roy Johnson.
David is survived by his two older brothers, Andrew Jones Jr., and Eddie Jones, Wife Bry’aun Johnson- Jones, two daughters Victoria Jones, Deanna Jones, and son Deon Jones. his mother & father-in-law Pamela and Antonio Savage. His grandmother-in-law, Viola Johnson, his aunt-in-law, Camella Johnson, and his brother-in-law Antonio Savage II, his Aunt Ruby Jones, Aunt Pearl Jones, and Aunt Ann White.
David was handled with care and love by The Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, and their services are greatly appreciated. There will be a private ceremony for family and a few friends on Saturday July 25th, 2026, which would have been David’s 49th Birthday.
