Donna Kline Edwards

Donna, 85, of Georgetown, DE died at home of stage 4 pancreatic cancer on November 13, 2025.

Donna was born at the old Sibley Hospital in Washington, DC on July 9, 1940, to Lester August and Lula Mae Kline. Donna graduated from Suitland Senior High School in 1958 and gained her first employment at a flower shop in SE Washington as a bookkeeper and bill collector. Less than a year later, she began working with C&P Telephone Company, now known as Verizon, where she retired after working 32 years.

Donna always had a close relationship with her mother and in 2004 gathered mother, stepfather, and sister and moved to Georgetown, DE. Donna joined Grace United Methodist Church in Georgetown in 2006 and has been a servant of God since then participating as a choir member, The Willing Strivers, and Staff-Parish Relations Committee.

Donna is survived by her brother, Michael (Beverly) Kline; sister, Caron Kline; brother-in-law, Michael McGuigan; nephew, Ian (Lydia) Kline and their family, Jack, Ben, Katie, Tom and Charlotte; niece, Heather Kline; nephew, Eric McGuigan; along with lots of cousins and second cousins. All of whom will miss her deeply.

Funeral services will be held at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Visitation begins at Noon with Services at 1:00 pm. Interment at Fort Lincoln Cemetery will be at 2:00 pm.
