Life’s Reflections of Easter B. Lipscomb

A TIME TO BE BORN Easter B. Lipscomb was born on April 17, 1929 in Spring Hope, North Carolina, and she was the fourth child of the late Sermon Anderson and Luvenia Anderson.

A TIME TO LIVE She grew up in a loving home with her parents and nine siblings. She was educated in the North Carolina public school system. She moved to Washington, DC where she was employed as a receptionist.

A TIME TO LOVE Easter was married to Daniel Lipscomb until his passing; they enjoyed each other’s company. Seeing that they had so much love to give and share, God placed seven wonderful and loving children into their lives; six girls, and one boy. A TIME TO PLAY She enjoyed fishing, walking, cooking and going to the casinos to play the slot machine. She also enjoyed watching Perry Mason, old western TV shows and Joel Osteen. She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Lipscomb; four sisters, Emma Crummell, Elouise High, Lovie Eatmon, Dolly Bailey; three brothers, Izell Anderson, Jc Anderson (Boot), Bill Anderson. She leaves to cherish her memory seven loving children - Linda Vines (Willie), Louise Lipscomb (late George Deal), Brenda Mitchell (Clayton), Jacqueline Washington (Jesse), Lisa Lipscomb, Rita Dickens (Tyrone) and son Daniel Lipscomb Jr. (Tonya); two sisters, Shirley Saunders, Gloria Douglas; two brothers-in-laws David Saunders and Randolph Lipscomb; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; a very loving and kind caregiver, Aster Sheibeshi, who we cherish, love and appreciate so much; and a host of adoring family members and friends, who will miss her dearly.

Hi Grandma, I'm sitting here thinking about you, thinking about the memories that we had together. The conversations that we had like me calling you on your birthday's, and you answering the phone with me hearing your voice saying, "Hello, who is this" and I would say grandma it's Sonya. I also remember when I was a little girl and we use to always come down to your house. You was always cooking, and playing your favorite game cards for money. I also remember when we all was little Conia, Kita, Dan and Me, and the rest of the family, you Grandma, Aunt Linda, Aunt Louise,Aunt Brenda, My Mom, Uncle Jr, Aunt Lisa, and Aunt Cookie all took our first family pictures at Sears. I always wanted us to take another family picture with the whole family as it grew over the years. I'm glad that I got to spend some more time with you before your passing. I will always love you.

Your Granddaughter,

'' Whatever leaves really does not leave.
we see it not;
We feel int has left.
Death is only another shore
Of the reality-sea
Death is only another way
To the everlasting reality shore of happiness
Death is not the end. It can never be the end.
Death is the road.Life is the traveller. The soul is the guide''.🌻
