Edith was born to Harry and Margaret Johnson on July 22, 1929 in Washington, DC (both of whom preceded her in death).
She received her education in the D.C. Public Schools and the D.C. Teacher's College, and afterward made her career in the Federal Government working for the Library of Congress until the early 80's.
During her life time she met and married Charles Brent who (preceded her in death) and out of that union, they produced one child, Margaret Whiteside. Many years later she met and married Elmo McCloud (preceded her in death) and out of that union, they produced two children, Elmo McCloud and David McCloud. Many years later she met and married James Hall (preceded her in death).
After retiring, her remaining years of enjoyment were cooking and going fishing with her husband James Hall.
Edith Mae Belmear-Hall is survived by four children, Leola Hansborough (John), Margaret Whitesides (Van), David McCloud (Dale) and Elmo McCloud, twelve grandchildren; John, Tommy, Seth, Christina, Anthony, Tyrone, Tiesha, Kaos, Aahkir, Drake, Shakeel, and Drew; fourteen great-grandchildren; Kena, Renata, Jacquorie, Niah Rae, Madison, Irainah, Aleja, Marcus, Xavier, Sihon, Zamari, Elias, Torren and Tyson.
