On March 19, 2020, Eli Thomas Williams, Jr. of Clifton, VA passed away. He worked with the Department of Defense and the Military as a Systems Analyst for over 30 years, loved to tinker, and had a knack for problem solving. Eli was the devoted father of Sheila (Fred); Gdad of Zoe, Elise, and Jadelyn; loving brother of Charles (Jean), Elaine, Doris, and Betty. He was preceded in death by his parents Eli, Sr. and Virginia, and siblings Richard and Linda. He will be dearly missed by a host of family and friends. Services are Private. www.Fort-Lincoln.com .

OBITUARY
On March 19, 2020, Eli Thomas Williams, Jr. of Clifton, VA passed away. He was born in Hickory, NC to Virginia Wilfong and Eli, Sr. on November 18, 1942.

A graduate of Cardozo High in Washington, DC, Eli helped break color barriers in intramural golf. He attended Howard, George Washington and later the University of Maryland where he received his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management. He also attended the National Defense University and Armed Forces Staff College for graduate studies.

Eli worked for the Federal Government’s Department of Defense as a systems analyst and IT specialist for over 40 years.

Eli enjoyed music, exercising, golfing, carpentry, bowling, photography, cooking, biking, and archery. Very accomplished and humble, he was a computer whiz, real estate agent, and tax consultant for many.

Eli is preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard, sister Linda, and nephews Maurice Hymes and George Michael.

Eli was the loving father of Sheila (spouse Fred) and Gdad of Zoe, Elise, and Jadelyn. Eli is survived by his siblings Charles (spouse Gendell), Elaine Rogers, Doris Todd, Betty Williams as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Eli loved and supported his family acting as a “lawyer” and advisor making sure everyone was cared for. He was loved by many and known for his sense of humor and charming smile.

The family extends sincere thanks to the hospital, nurses, and aides at Inova Hospital, Fairfax Nursing Center, and Angels on Duty Home Healthcare.

Eli will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
