Mrs. Epps was one of the most beautiful people I have ever had the privilege to spend time with. In the summer of my junior year of college I had an internship in Washington DC and one of my closest friends is her daughter Elena. They allowed me to live at their home in Dale City for the entire summer and refused to take rent from my father even though he insisted. After much insistence on my part, she did finally allow me to cook the family my mother's famous fried okra recipe as my way of saying thank you. For a motherless young lady like I was having lost my own mother two years prior, it meant more than I can put into words to feel and be housed by such a loving woman especially one of great faith like she had. That summer she also took me under her wing and taught me how to commute to work into Washington DC as I had never done so before and help me to come into my own womanhood. We rode the Omni bus super early! Additionally she and her daughter threw my bridal shower at her house in Fredericksburg and welcomed  my family and friends from New Jersey and all over and treated me as she always had like I was another one of her children. I still remember at the end of my wedding the first face I saw upon leaving the chapel was Mrs. Epps waiting there to greet me with a monetary gift that she's tucked into my hands and she gave me the biggest hug. I will always love that woman and the sweet calm spirit that she had.  As I told Elena, I've never been more sure that someone is with the Lord than Mrs. Epps. God bless Elena, Marcus, Alyssa and the family as they grieve and also celebrate the way Mrs. Epps lived her life... now gaining her angel wings in glory with the Father.

Ms. Elizabeth was a wonderful woman of God.  She was my first manager as a specialist.  She taught me so much and she gave even more.  She had a heart for giving to all.  

Although she will be missed I know that she is with our Lord and Savior.  Her famous expression was "There is a God on the Throne"!!!  

Elizabeth, you were loved while you lived on earth and you are going to be missed.  May God watch over your children and bless them with the wealth of love that you gave to all who ever crossed your path!!!

Ms. Epps was such a lovely and caring woman! I was a coworker at GSA/USDA, and being one of the youngest black men in the office at the time, Ms. Epps immediately made me feel like I had a Gmama at work. So helpful, resourceful,  and always followed up with us providing useful information about work or life. She always wanted to make sure her people, especially her Black people were safe and aware of the things going on in the world, and I will truly miss her. She was a special soul!!!

I worked side by side with her for a period of time. She would spend large sums of her own Money to supply the members of our team with Candy, snacks water and juices, continually and refused ANY MONETARY support from any of us, all because she wanted us to be REFRESHED and to always know how much she cared about each of us. ADDITIONALLY, she was an exceptional leader and friend to all of us. I MISS YOU Ms. Epps. Heaven truly got an new ANGEL
