Errol Gill (fondly known as Blinky), age 85, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024. Born on July 2nd, 1939, in the twin islands of Trinidad & Tobago to Egbert Gill and LaSoma William. Errol was baptized at an early age in Trinidad. He migrated to the United States in the late 60’s, seeking a better life for his family.
Errol married Helen Gill and cherished their three children, Anne-Marie, Anthony and Ainsley.
Errol was known for his wit, kindness, and generosity. His love for his homeland never faded, and he often shared stories of his early years, instilling a deep sense of heritage and pride in his children.
In addition to his children, Errol is survived by grandchildren Nekisha, Shaka, Quan, Bryant, Nathan, Anna and Brandon, and great grandchildren Allan, Anya, and Samson. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at Avondale Park Apts - 4915 Eastern Ave NE (near St. Ann’s Home for Children), Hyattsville, MD 20782 at 1pm.
