

Our earthly Father, Mr. Frank Joseph Campbell Sr., affectionately called “Dada,” age eighty-nine (89), of Avon Park, Florida passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, October 28th, 2020 at 6:45 AM. Dada was born February 19th, 1931 in Allmans Hill, St. Catherine, Jamaica to parents, Corine Desport and Joseph Campbell. Dada grew up in Kingston, Jamaica where he attended Catholic High School.
At age 22, Dada met Hyacinth Cunningham, who would become his life long partner. Dada worked at D & G Drinks Factory for ten (10) years. In November of 1969, he immigrated to the United States to join his wife, affectionately referred to as “Mama,” in Washington, DC.
After working for approximately 17 years, Dada retired early from working in corporate America. Because of his entrepreneurial motivations, he opened his own business, which consisted of a restaurant and grocery store. The establishment was named C & D International Grocery and Deli Incorporated. This business operated for15 years. At the close of his business, Dada and his wife retired to Avon Park, Florida.
Dada was musically inclined. He especially enjoyed the guitar, singing, and playing the drums and keyboards. Also, he loved boxing, horse racing and playing dominoes. He was very social and empathetic to everyone that he met. He attended Victory Tabernacle Apostolic International, Inc Church in Avon Park where he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.
He is survived by his beloved wife(of 67 years),Hyacinth; children– Barrington, Monica, Yvonne, Frank Jr., Junior (Bully), Michael, Carol, and Keith; 23 Grandchildren, 22 Great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of many other loving relatives and friends.
