

Harry Weber Trunnell, 81, husband of Patricia Trunnell, died Friday, June 14, 2019, at his home in Peoria, Arizona. He was born September 4, 1937, in Washington, DC, son of the late Ruth B. and Walter J. Trunnell, Sr. Harry was a graduate of Bladensburg High School, retired as the owner of Metro Mechanical Contractors, and was a member of Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 100 for more than 60 years. He was a champion athlete and coach, and an avid sports fan of the Washington Nationals. He is survived by four children and their spouses, Deborah C. Allen and Mark W. Bernsohn, Sandra R. and James F. Walters, III, Michael and Mary Wilson, and Sparky Rose and Kathy Reahm; three grandchildren, Nicole R. Allen, James F. Walters, IV, and Tara R. Walters; his brother and sister-in-law, Donna and Walter J. Trunnell, Jr.; sister, Ruth J. Anderson; several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held at Noon on Sunday, July 14, at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, immediately followed by Funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Casket bearers will be Michael Wilson, Sparky Rose, James F. Walters, III, James F. Walters, IV, Dale Trunnell, and John McGee. Harry’s family expresses special appreciation to all of his hospice care providers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
