

At a young age, he worked several jobs while still in school. He attended Maggie L. Walker High School where he graduated. He met Helen in high school where they courted several years before getting married.
From that marriage they had one son – Harry and three daughters – JoAnne, Catherine, and Deborah.
Having left Richmond and moving to Washington, DC, he worked several different jobs before working for the Federal Government. He was employed there for 35 years before retiring.
He attended Beulah Baptist Church of Deanwood Heights but later joined Sanctuary at Kingdom Square.
He was called home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2020 and leaves to cherish his memory his wife Helen, one son – Harry Walker, Jr., three daughters – JoAnne Ash, Catherine Gass, (Robert), and Deborah Sewell (Patrick). Three grandchildren; Kenneth Walker, Sr. (Tameika), Kimberly Gass, and Danielle Ash. Two great grandsons; Kenneth Walker, Jr. and Jaxon Z. Johnson; two great granddaughters Kendra Walker and Devyn Conaway; one sister – Evelyn Anderson. Also several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
