Harvie attended school at Yancyville HS in Yancyville, North Carolina.
Harvie joined the United States Army at a young age. Served in the Korean Conflict. Honorably discharged.
Member of Edgewood Baptist Church. Chairman of Church Trustee Board. Usher and member of men’s choir.
Harvie was a mechanic at Webbs Exxon where he retired. Also worked at Hodges and Edward funeral home until he took ill.
Surviving family, loving and devoted wife; Annie Jean Jones, Son; Prest L. Jones (Pamela) two grandsons: Justin and Jalen sister; Thelma Daye hosts of nieces and nephews and special friend Clyde Hines
