Harvie Preston Jones

Harvie Preston Jones, age 95, of Washington, District of Columbia passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Harvie was born April 21, 1927. Son of Earl DeClememt Jones and Vera Jones Whitfield. Harvie attended school at Yancyville HS in Yancyville, North Carolina. Harvie joined the United States Army at a young age. Served in the Korean Conflict. Honorably discharged. Member of Edgewood Baptist Church. Chairman of Church Trustee Board. Usher and member of men’s choir. Harvie was a mechanic at Webbs Exxon where he retired. Also worked at Hodges and Edward funeral home until he took ill. Surviving family, loving and devoted wife; Annie Jean Jones, Son; Prest L.
