Hattie Mae Barber was born on March 15, 1936, in Rock Hill, South Carolina to the late Louis Barber and the late Geneva Jackson. Hattie transitioned to be with the Lord, peacefully in her sleep on March 16, 2024, one day after celebrating her 88th birthday where she was surrounded by her loving family.
Hattie was indeed an angel on earth and while our hearts are truly broken, our souls are at peace knowing she is resting in the bosom of the heavenly Father.
Services for Hattie will be taking place on April 13, 2024 at the Fort Lincoln Funeral Home. Viewing 9am-11am, Homegoing Services 11am – 12pm followed by the internment also at Ft. Lincoln. After the internment, the family will celebrate Hattie with a repast at International House of Prayer for All People, 1915 Rhode Island Ave N.E. Washington, DC 20018.
