Passed away on Monday October 2, 2017 at Washington Hospital Center at the age of 90. She was born in Henderson, Tennessee, the fifth child of the late George and Liddie Morton. When she was 18, she met Jesse Williamson while he was on leave from the service and married him just two weeks later. They made their home in Washington D.C. and spent 47 years together until his death in 1992. Although Helen worked numerous jobs, she was primarily a homemaker. She raised four children. In her spare time she liked reading, sewing, crocheting and other crafts, and working puzzles.
Helen was preceded in death by daughter Gwendolyn Bland, sons Jerry and Ronald Williamson and granddaughter Patrice Bland. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Norma Muldrow; sister Kathryn Trice; grandchildren John Bland, Kimber Muldrow, Jerry Jr. and Taron Williamson; six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
