

Henry was born on April 3, 1940, to the late Carter Preston and Leila Ruth Hill Williams. He was one of eleven siblings raised by his stepmother, Mrs. Minnie Lee Talbert Williams.
Henry was educated in the McCormick, South Carolina school system where he graduated from Mims Senior High School.
He gave his life to the Lord at an early age and became a member of the Cedar Spring Baptist Church where he began his gospel music career.
As a young adult, he became a devoted and faithful member of the New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Washington, DC, and continued to sing for the Lord with the Gospel Starlights, Gerald Special, Gospel Reflections and Southern Six South Carolina True Gospel Singers and the Southern Spirituals.
Henry became a licensed and ordained minister of the Holyland Spiritual Temple on March 10, 1995, under the mentorship of Reverend Clyde Hill of Holyland Spiritual Temple.
Henry was a painter by trade. His most memorable employment was with the Georgetown Preparatory School, where he worked until his retirement. He was loved by his Georgetown Prep family, where they honored him with an engraved antique rocking chair.
Henry was a devoted husband and father. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Carter Press, Jr., Freddie Lee Williams, James D. Price, Rosa Ada Williams, Mildred Lee Williams Price, and Dorothy J. Blair.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Margaret; his children Narvis Gallman, Vernell Faulk (Anthony), Telethia Williams, Andre Braxton (Robin), Eric Williams (Daphne), and Christopher Chambliss; sisters Laura Jennings, Anna Bowling (Robert), Camilla Spann, and Johnny Williams (Darlene); and grandchildren Ciara, Raesha, Quintessa, Danielle, Shaniece, Christina, Aaliyah, and Rashad.
He also leaves two brothers-in-law, Raymond Longshore and William Hardy, a host of other relatives, friends, and the church family.
Visitation will be held at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 BLADENSBURG RD, BRENTWOOD, MD 20722, US, on June 26, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location on June 26, 2026, at 11:30 am.
Committal will take place at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 BLADENSBURG RD, BRENTWOOD, MD 20722, US, on June 26, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
