Hubert George Irons

Hubert George Irons, 77, who resided in Silver Springs, MD passed away on April 15, 2023. “Fe” as some of us know him, was born on April 24, 1945, in Spanish Town, Jamaica. He attended Bayley’s Preparatory and St. Jago High School. Later, he studied at the College of Arts Science and Technology and obtained his diploma in Pharmacy. He received his degree in accounting from the University of Maryland. Being a true Jamaican, he juggled three positional hats of Pharmacist, Real Estate Broker, and Accountant. Although he was hard-working, he always brought joy and laughter with his unique antics and jokes. Hubert was always thinking about his next venture. Even when he was at his sickest, he was talking about business. Younger family members will remember his specialty in “headbutts” and “nose worthies.” Hubert will be surely missed by family, friends, and all who had the chance to meet him.

Hubert is preceded in death by his parents Rosetta and Hylton, Uncle Walter, siblings Hazel and Winston, and brother-in-law Winston.

He is survived by his children Conrad (Angela) and Michele. Siblings Jean, Joan (Hector), Norma (Linval), Beryl, Kathleen, Daniel (Debbie), and Sister-in -law Antoinette. Grand-children Conrad Jr., Asia, Elizabeth, Abigail, and Hannah. 14 nieces and nephews as well as 16 grandnieces and grandnephews.

Visitation April 29, 2023, 5-8pm at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home 3401 Bladensburg Road Brentwood, MD. Funeral services at Mitchellville SDA Church 122 Old Largo Road Largo MD on April 30, 2023, viewing at 1pm with services at 2pm. Repass to directly follow.
