

James Andrew Bell, Jr., "Jimmy", as he was known to family and friends, was born in Washington, D.C. on September 18, 1966, the youngest of three children to James Andrew Bell and Jean Carol Small Bell. He was raised and educated in Washington, D.C. and the Prince George's County public school systems.
Jimmy was always a sports player and enthusiast in school and as a young adult. As an adult, he was definitely a lifetime fan of the Washington Redskins. Jimmy always enjoyed watching basketball, football, boxing and other sports on several different televisions at the same time. Jimmy loved his family and friends and lived a life with a peaceful presence.
Jimmy was born into the family church of Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ. He gained spiritual guidance at Save the Seed Ministry, as he sought healing in overcoming his personal struggles. Jimmy worked for the federal government and hotel hospitality industry. As his mobility diminished, he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in the summer of 2010.
Jimmy's earthly presence ended on March 1, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, James Andrew Bell, Sr.; grandparents, John Bell, Linnie Bell Ward, Jesse & Sarah Small.
Jimmy is survived by his only child, daughter, Shana Alexander; his mother, Jean Small Bell, sisters, Lisa & Tanya Bell; nieces, Tanaa' Bell, Courtney Jones & MiraKal Bell; nephews, Emmanuel Bell, Julian & Jamaal Jones; grandson, Adriel Alexander and a host of family and friends.
