James Francis Ford transitioned this life on Saturday, July 31, 2021. He was born March 8 1950 in Washington, DC to the late Raymond S and Elizabeth S. Ford. He attend DC Public Schools. He was employed in the DC Government, Friendship House, GW Hospital and later worked for DC Public Schools. He loved to go to cabarets, he loved dancing and singing. He enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica. He was always clowning and joking around playing practical jokes on people. He also enjoyed playing sports and watching sports. His favorite football team was the Redskins. He was also very good with his hands fixing on houses. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and eating good delicious food.
He was preceded in death by his wife Crystal Ford, 2 brothers Leo Ford and Sterling Ford, 1 daughter Ina Corbett, 1 niece Sharon Barkley, 1 nephew Lionel Miller. He leaves to cherish his memories, daughter Angel Tabatha Corbett, 2 sons James Ford Jr and Andrae Smith, 1 daughter-in-law Brooke Smith, 13 grandchildren and great grands, 4 sister Gloria Bell, Lillian Miller, Joyce Ford and Brenda Blunt, 4 brothers William Ford, Roland Ford (Chico), Norris Ford and Gerald Ford, brother-in-law Kenneth Blunt, 4 sister-in-laws, 3 aunts Patricia Ann Platt (Robert Platt), Veronica Watkins, Mary settle, and 1 uncle Larry D. Settle and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
