James Robert Stone

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved James “Jimmy” Stone. Jimmy was born in Cheverly MD and passed away peacefully in his home in Woodbridge, Va. Coming from a large family, Jimmy was the 6th child of Bobby and Eva Stone. Jimmy was preceded in death by siblings Patty and Margie. He is survived by siblings Ralph, Frank, Chuck, Cathy and Robin. Additionally, he is survived by his cherished wife, Tonya Lorraine Stone. They shared a love story that was truly special—an unwavering bond that will always be remembered. This loss is sudden and deeply devastating, leaving a big void in the lives he touched.

As we remember Jimmy, we also find comfort in the words of Luke 23:43, where Jesus promised the repentant thief, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise." We take solace in knowing that Jimmy's spirit is now at peace, united with the love he shared with all of us. Though he may no longer walk among us, the light he brought into our lives will shine brightly forever.

A visitation for James will be held Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 BLADENSBURG RD, BRENTWOOD, MD 20722. A visitation will occur Monday, May 5, 2025 at 12:30 PM, 3401 BLADENSBURG RD, BRENTWOOD, MD 20722. A celebration of life will occur Monday, May 5, 2025 at 1:30 PM, 3401 BLADENSBURG RD, BRENTWOOD, MD 20722. A committal service will occur Monday, May 5, 2025 at 2:30 PM at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD 20722.
