Jean Deloris Britt was born November 9, 1937 to the late Louis Robert Britt and Della Dosier Britt and sister to the late Robert Louis Britt. She was also proceeded in death by a special friend, Winfield Duran.
Jean attended public schools in Hertford County, North Carolina and graduated from Calvin S. Brown High School, Winton, NC (1955). She attended North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC and received a Bachelor of Art Degree (1959) and attended the University of the District of Columbia, Washington, DC to receive a Master’s Degree in Media Science.
Jean moved to Washington, DC in 1963 and was employed by the US Commerce Department, as a Librarian. She later was employed by the US Department of Health and Human Service as a Librarian and retired from there in 1998.
Jean was a kind, thoughtful person and fun to be around. She enjoyed going to the Casinos and traveling. She travelled extensively in Africa, Austria and Switzerland. She also travelled many states in the United States.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, cousins, friends and a special friend, Mary Pope.
