I have many good memories of Joe, especially during shipboard installations back in the late 80's and early 90's. Joe was easy going with a fun and dry sense of humor. His motto was always "30 knots into an iceberg", and he built hardware that could easily withstand that. Joe will be missed.

I loved spending time with you this past 4 years in and out of your deeply loved house full of memories and mysteries. I loved how you would clip articles you wanted me to read and bring them to our regular dinners together. Those dinners would sometimes last for hours as we shared stories, I learned about family, and we discussed our interests and travels and made decisions about dessert. We had some wonderful times that I cherish deeply. I know you loved visiting the Big Church (Shrine) for Christmas Eve programs. The drive to our farm on the Eastern Shore was a highlight- you loved any drives that involved waterfront. You were an adventurous eater (crab and seafood were your favorite - along with soup!) and went with us to Vietnamese, Chinese, and other restaurants besides your beloved Legion, Denny's and IHOP. I loved bringing you those Polish specialties from Rockville. Even sitting in the doctors' waiting rooms or visiting in the hospital was a time to connect and share. We battled bamboo and peeling paint and health scares and new doctors and new car tires and groceries. I have 2 possoms and a racoon living in my woods from you. I don't regret even a second that we had, and only wish we had more. We will have to look forward to being together in heaven to realize our plans to sit on the porch and drink lemonade.

I had many good memories of many days with Joseph. Trips to Ocean City and to Disney World plus Sunday breakfast at Greenbelt American Legion.
