Lawrence Anthony Condatore

Of College Park, MD. Passed away on April 23, 2017. Larry Condatore was born on August 9, 1926 in Washington, D.C., the second of three sons, to Salvatore and Filomena Condatore. His brothers were Frank and Donald Condatore. He was raised in Washington, D.C. and enlisted to serve in the Navy during WWII on the USS Amsterdam. After his discharge in 1946, he continued his education to earn a degree in Accounting as a pre-requisite to becoming a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He worked in offices in Indianapolis, Norfolk, and spent the majority of his career in Washington, D.C. He retired after 29 years of service in March 1977. He met his wife, Helen Wave Condatore, in Norfolk, Virginia, where she was stationed in the Navy, at the time. They were married in April of 1957 and celebrated a marriage 1 week short of 60 years. Larry was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Society of Former Agents of the FBI, and a member and long time volunteer of the American Legion Post 217 in College Park. He was most recently a member of St. Camillus Church in Silver Spring, Maryland, where he and Helen married, and Helen, their first 2 children and their first grandchild were baptized. He was preceded in death his parents, Salvatore & Filomena and his brothers, Frank and Donald. Left to cherish his memory is daughter, Gina Bracco (Chris), and their daughters, Kathryn (Blake), and granddaughter, Merritt McBride, and Maria Bracco; sons, Tony Condatore, and Lawrence Condatore, Jr., and his children, Nicholas (Sasha) Condatore, and Maria Condatore.

Funeral service: May 6, 2017 at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home with Visitation at 12:30, Funeral Mass at 1:30 with Burial at Fort Lincoln Cemetery with Repast at American Legion Post 217, 9218 Baltimore Avenue, College Park, MD 20740. In Lieu of Flowers, Donations may be made to: American Legion Post 0217, 9218 Baltimore Avenue, College Park, MD 20740, under the command of William Knupp.
