Leroy Fisher Jr.

He attended the University of A&T in 1965 and graduated from Fayetteville State with a degree in US history and joined the United States Army in 1969. Leroy was employed with the United States Post Office, were he worked as a postal worker and retired from the post office after 39 years.

Leroy was blessed with a loving family and married his college sweetheart, Doretha Armstrong on September 15th, 1967 in High Point, NC. To this union 1 child was born: Dawn Elizabeth “Kitty”.

Leroy was an avid sports fan and enjoyed meeting up with his long-time friends from the plaza and the barber shop to “catch up”.

Leroy Fisher Jr. “Fish” returned to his heavenly home on April 30th, 2021 after a valiant battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Doretha(wife); Dawn Elizabeth McCormick (Antoine) and 4 grandchildren: Teja, Maximus, Maddox and Maverick; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Due to restrictions, there will not be a graveside service. Thank you for understanding.
