She is predeceased by her mother, Virginia Moulden Maris, and her father, Harry Boyd Maris. Surviving relatives include her sister, Nancy Maris Garner, her nephew, and a host of cousins and friends.
Lucy worked for GSA in Washington, D.C. for 20 years and she was the manager for the Childcare Centers. In 2002, she received an award for the #1 Childcare Center in the country.
She was a member of DAR and a member of the Potomac Conservancy. For many years she was a member of the Cabin John Ladies Literary Society, (CJLLS), a monthly book club.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 13th at 10:30am, at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Rd., Brentwood, MD.
