

Deaconess Margaret Louise Wildy, affectionately known as Louise, Weezy, and Huss was born December 7, 1951 in Waynesboro, Burke County Georgia to the late Deaconess Margaret Louise and Deacon Elijah Rouse. She was the oldest of 7 children. On Tuesday March 8, 2022 she peacefully departed this life and entered into external rest from labor to reward.
In 1962 the family moved from Burke County Georgia to Washington DC and the family joined the Unity Baptist Church where she was baptized at an early age under the Leadership of the late Rev. Dr. E.B. Cunningham.
She received her early childhood education in the DC Public School System and later graduated from Burdick Senior High School. She attended the University of the District of Columbia and earned a Bachelors Degree in French.
Deaconess Wildy was employed and trained in the field of an IT (Information Technology) at the Law Firm Steptoe and Johnson LLP where she retired in 2019. As the firm expanded to other states she traveled to those areas and trained some of the new and current employees of the new/updated software that was being used. She was loved by all in the firm and looked forward to work each and every day.
On July 30, 1995 she entered into holy matrimony with the love of her life Michael J. Wildy. From this union 1 son was born Brandon Wildy along with her eldest son Herve Rouse and his sons the late Shawn J. Wildy and his youngest son Damion Wildy.
Deaconess Wildy was a women who wore many hats in her family and in Ministry! She was a faithful member of her church the Unity Baptist Church where she served 60yrs. Under the current Leadership of Rev. Charles W. McNeal, Jr. she served and supported as the Pastor’s Administrative Assistant, Church Administrator, President of Finance Committee, President of the Event Team, she was responsible for delivering and planning the Share Program (Outreach), she was also the Financial Secretary for the National Capital Baptist Convention (NCBC). She served time as the President of the Alberta C. Ervin Missionary Ministry and 1st Editor-in-Chief of the UBC Chronicles Newsletter. She was also a member of the Deaconess Ministry, Grant Search Committee, a Teacher of Vacation Bible School, and cooked breakfast in the kitchen before Sunday Morning Services for many years.
Deaconess Wildy can be described as one who was was family oriented and a friend to many.
She was headstrong, one who had immaculate leadership skills in planning, she showed the utmost perfection in organization in ministries as well as in her personal life and the lives of others! She was always ready and willing to start new things and bring grand ideas to her beloved family, church family, and in the lives of her friends and associates. Outside of the many things that can be said we all knew whatever she put her hands to grew in leaps and bounds. She loved to teach, plan, travel with her family, dress to impress in her nice suits and beautiful hats, and we all knew shopping was her FAVORITE pass time. She was one who gave from her heart and put much thought into every gift. We will forever hold dear in our hearts her kind acts and selfless giving as a Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and friend. Her fine clerical/computer skills, creative flyers, book marks and etc will always be remembered. As well as her awesome cooking skills on Holidays and other family events such as “some” of her delicious secret recipes (corn pudding, baked beans, pasta salad ribs and macaroni & cheese) and her specialty deserts: the infamous egg-chu-young (affectionately named by the family) and banana pudding with all of her love ingredients inside.
Deaconess Wildy is survived by her husband Michael J. Wildy. She leaves to cherish her memories: 3 Sons Herve Rouse, Damion Wildy and Brandon Wildy and 1 preceded her in death Shawn J. Wildy. 3 Brothers: Ronnie Rouse (Ellysabeth), Stanley Rouse, and Eric E. Rouse. 3 Sisters: Sonya W. Rouse, Diana L. Berry (Marcus), Beatrice S. Wright (Alfred). 3 Grandchildren: Avayah Rouse, Jazmine Wildy, Christopher Wildy, Da’Von Wildy, Sean Wildy, Xavia Wildy, Steffens, Dahlia Wildy. 4 Nephews: Jerard Rouse (Angie), Joshua Rouse, Alfred Wright III (Kayla), and Rahman Rouse.10 Niece’s: Aminah (Schuyler) Mellion, Amirah (Isaac) Kuria, Marcia Collins (David), Jamilah Rouse, Fareedah Rouse, Najah Rouse, Razmine Rouse, Jade Rouse, Aaliyah Wright, and Alexis Wright as well as a host of great nephews and niece’s.
