

Margie Reser Steadham, was born on March 13, 1956 in Washington, DC at Freemons Hospital to the late Robert Steadham and Leola (Quarles) Steadham. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, September 12, 2022, she was 66 years old.
Margie was educated in DC Public Schools, attending Walker Jones Elementary School, Terrell Junior High School and graduating from Cardozo Senior High School in 1974. She later matriculated at the University of the District of Columbia.
She worked for the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (HEW) for 10 plus years before they closed down. She was currently working part time for So Others May Eat (SOME). She really enjoyed her job.
She attended The Way of the Cross Church and later became a Member of God’s Universal Kingdom Baptist church. Most recently she was a member of the Sons and Daughters of the House of Praise Ministry presided by Apostle Stephen E. Young Sr.
Margie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and working on arts and crafts projects. She was a devoted volunteer at So Others May Eat (SOME). She routinely planned events and volunteered her time to cook and serve others in need.
She was loved deeply and is survived by her two sons; Javan Steadham and Jamele Steadham, her brothers: James Steadham and Leon Steadham, her grandchildren: Malique Watkins, Enzo-Javan Spencer Steadham, Nala Steadham, and Phoenix Steadham; longtime friends of over 40 years; Sandra White & Diane Clayborn, and a Host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
