

Marion Virginia May, affectionally called "Minnie", was born February 11, 1953 to the late Cornelius Charles and Victoria Jackson. She grew up in Georgetown, Washington, DC and was the fourth of eight children. Marion attended DC Public Schools.
At an early age, Marion married the late Robert B. May, Sr. and from this union six children were born. Two of her children, Ronald May and Reginald May preceded her in death.
Marion began working at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia at age I7 as a Dishwasher. Marion was a dedicated employee and worked hard to help support her growing family. Marion's dedication led to her promotion from Dishwasher to Line Cook and ultimately Head Cook. Morion worked at the Pentagon for 44 years before an illness forced her to retire.
During her younger years, Marion took pleasure in family vacations and cooking for family and friends. Marion hosted many family gatherings and card parties for her siblings.
Throughout life and in her leisure, Marion enjoyed playing Bingo and playing card games with her children and grandchildren, going to the casino and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed watching tennis, golf and TV game shows. Some of her favorite game shows were Let's Make A Deal, The Price Is Right, $100,000 Pyramid and Wheel of Fortune. Marion lived a simple, yet fulfilling life, and found joy in spending time with her family. Her presence will truly be missed.

A visitation for Marion will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 at 9:30 AM at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, Maryland 20722. A celebration of life will occur Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10:30 AM, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, Maryland 20722. An interment will occur Friday, April 28, 2023 at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, Maryland 20722.
