Mary Ellen Mitchell Reed went home to be the Lord on February 7, 2015. She was born on September 12, 1923 in Caney, Kansas. She came to Washington, D.C. in 1942 to work for the Pentagon. She served as a town clerk of Brentwood, Maryland from 1970-2000 and in various other town civic organizations throughout the years. She was a member at Mt. Rainier United Methodist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley L. Reed, Sr. in 1993 and her son-in-law Raymond G. Henry in 2007. She is survived by her daughters Sandra L. Reed and Nancy E. Henry; grandchildren Keith Herbert and his wife Maria; Paul Herbert and his wife Annette Lainer; Jennifer Warren and her Husband Brian; and Daniel Henry; and her great grandchildren Mary Ellen Herbert, Scott Herbert, Bryce Warren, and Ayden Warren.
