Maya,
A beautiful and good person. 
Maya presence lightened the room with good vibes and energy.  I can not believe nor understand how and why.
But I know Maya now sits at the right hand of the FATHER, and  I know she's good. 
Maya was a blessing to our family.  I thank GOD for putting her in our lives and mostly my brother Greg!  
Maya renewed my brother in so many ways but the one way that showed immediately was, she gave him his smile back.  I always told her, "I'm so glad my brother met u."
I'll never say goodbye to you Maya, I'll only say until we meet again❤ I LOVE YOU MAYA❤

I forgot to put this In the first memory. I also think about how Maya’s laugh was one of the most contagious laughs.  You couldn’t help yourself to smile ear to ear just hearing her laugh, even if you didn’t hear the joke. 

Maya was a type of person I had never met before. So calm , so easy going, so naturally funny without trying, and so thoughtful.  One of the things that I appreciated and admired the most was how she welcomed me into her home from day one.  She made me feel like I was at home immediately.  She always had the best positive attitude about life and appreciated the little wins along with the big ones. Thank you Maya I cannot put into words how appreciative I am. we love you, and we will see you soon. -Bryan & Carly

Maya and I celebrated birthdays together because we were born just one week a part and were the only children in the apartment building  where we lived. We not only grew up as childhood friends, but as sisters.  I remember watching Star Trek together, eating cake, reading books and playing with our cabbage patch dolls.  The memories we shared still warm my heart.  It's hard to believe she is no longer with us and this news has been very hard to accept.  I am grateful for the time I knew Maya and hope that those who loved her find peace.

My condolences and prayers to Maya's family. We met and instantly became friends in HS. Whenever we saw each other it's like we never skipped a beat in each lives, regardless of the time that passed. I'm saddened to acknowledge the loss of another friend. But only God knows our beginning and end. So He saw fit for Maya to be reunited with her Mom 🙏🏽💛

To the family with my heartfelt sympathy:

I was a neighbor and friend , who spent countless hours watching Maya growup.   Maya and  my daughter were childhood friends and spent special time together:  holidays,  birthdays, playtime, school and learned how ride bikes together. 

Maya was a very  nice young lady.  She had a quiet demeanor, however, she would speak up as necessary.

I am  saddened that she is no longer with us.   I believe she's resting now with God and her dearly beloved mother.  I  hope family and friends that are mourning find peace and comfort in their memories of Maya.   Blessings!




Maya became a part of the "Mikell" family the very first time we met her.  She fit right in, full of laughter.   Although we will miss her, she's at home , in the presence of God.  Maya,  until that glorious day when we all will see each other again.  No more sickness,  no more dying, no more tears.  You are home now, rest in Jesus.  Joanna (Mikell) Goff
