McClure David Galloway, fondly known as “Dave”, departed this earth on Friday, January 1, 2021. Dave was a lover of people and his country. He was a decorated Marine Corps Veteran, who was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained in Vietnam, in addition to many other medals of gallantry. After the military, Dave found a home at Prince George’s Community College for 25 years as a student and later staff member, where he enjoyed lifelong relationships with close friends Jay Boyar and Don Rodriguez, until he died. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Business Administration at the University of Maryland, before moving to Queens College in New York as the Executive Director of The Student Services Corporation in 1997.
Dave Galloway was a father, friend, husband, brother, proven leader, fearless warrior, Marine and American Hero. He was always happy, loved life, had the heart of a lion, and feared no one. His family and friends will miss him forever.

He maintained a close relationship with the entire Carney Family until his death.
The family acknowledges the assistance and care provided to Dave by the staffs of the VA Medical Centers in Richmond VA and Washington, DC. He shared a special bond with the staff and medical team of the Community Living Center (CLC) at the VA Medical Center, Washington, DC, where he was known throughout the hospital as a colorful character with an unorthodox way of communicating with the staff.
Despite battling serious illness Dave served his country admirably and lived a full and accomplished life.
