

Oliver Brown was born in Staffelstein, Germany to Arthur and Kuni Brown on May 18, 1956. Mr. Brown lived in Germany for a number of years before moving to the United States. After resettling in Colorado Springs first, the family moved to Washington DC in the sixties. Mr. Brown attended then St. Anthony School. He attended Woodward Prep School and graduated in 1975. He went on and attended York College from 1975 to 1979, where he graduated with a BS degree in Education and Music. Upon graduating he enlisted in the Armed Services from 1979 to 1983. During this time he participated in several campaigns with the service. His assignments included Ft.Deven’s, Mass., Germany, France, and Italy. He was also involved with the Cuban’s Refugee program in the 80s.
After leaving the Military, Mr. Brown worked for the Department of Justice department. His assignments included Lompoc, Ca, Terminal Island, Oakdale, LA, Cumberland, MD, Otisville, NY, and Manhattan, NY. He retired from the government in 2006. He was involved and stationed in New York during September 11 of the Twin Towers. He moved backed to Washington DC where he operated a Consulting Business.
Mr. Brown is also an accomplished concert pianist in his right. He started playing at a young age under the late Ms. Ellen Blue. He performed at the White House, Kennedy Center, New York and Europe. He taught music throughout his life. He enjoyed being on stage and sharing his music with his audience. A great showmanship.
Mr. Brown was involved with the martial artists, holding a black belt, 4th Dan. He learned his skills from Johoon Rhee School as a teenager. He practiced and taught the arts in the Military, opened a school in California and York. Participated in a number of tournaments and was featured in the Black Belt Magazine. He was also part of the All American Team while in the services.
Mr. Brown is survived by his son, Michael Brown, six grand-children, Marquise Brown, Alexis Defreece, Mikaela Brown, Olivia Brown, Mary Brown, and Kaleb Brown. His uncle Robert Manuel and his wife Victoria: first cousins and there family: his family in Germany and his extended family.
