

Otto M Shlagel, 80, who made his home in St Augustine, FL, since 2003, passed away on August 28, 2022, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born on July 25,1942, in Washington, DC, raised and lived in MD, and after 38 years working at Wonder Bread Hostess Cakes Factory in DC, he retired and moved to FL.
He loved country music, traveling especially to ocean resorts, horse racing, playing Bingo, card games, getting together with friends and family.
Otto is survived by his sister, Diana Uber (Donald), his daughters, Dianna Lynn and Debbie; grandson, Andrew; granddaughters, Jennifer Lynn (deceased) and Brianna; great-granddaughter, Serenity Lynn; and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD on Thursday, Sept 15 at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation
