Play Tribute Movie

Patricia Elaine Butler was born October 5, 1948 in Washington DC to Francina Dickerson and Henry Lee Butler. While always maintaining a close loving relationship with her father, Lee, she lived with her mom, Francina and her stepfather, Charles Dickerson. She was educated in DC public schools, graduating from Coolidge High School and going on to attend Florida A&M and Trinity University.

Pat, known for her expressive eyes and contagious smile enjoyed a good laugh. She was a hardcore movie fan, attending movies regularly and up on all the latest shows. She enjoyed dinners out and long rides. She was a loyal friend, generous with her concern and counsel.

Pat was a self-proclaimed lover of electronics and construction and was known for buying and tinkering with the latest gadgets. Throughout her life she dabbled with and around construction, able to pull a building permit at DCRA, not an easy feat. She was an entrepreneur, a concerned landlord, who for many years owned an apartment building in the city. She was well known as a shopping enthusiast spending many hours glued to and ordering from QVC and HSN. And most of all she was a momma’s girl, never too far away from her mother.

Pat worked for the Veteran’s Administration as a program analyst and retired after thirty-four years of service.

Her marriages to Dennis Sibert and James Broce ended in divorce. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Francina Dickerson; godson, Thiel Jackson; numerous family and friends; and a special friend, William Johnson.
