Patricia Ann Hinnant-Middleton struggled all her life, but a natural born fighter railed against and battled her demons until she was called home by her Heavenly Father to receive her eternal reward. The Eldest daughter born of the union of the late Clarence Hinnant and Alzadia Hinnant (nee’ Thomas), Patricia was born, educated, lived, loved and thrived in Washington, DC.
She continuously battled her way from mediocrity in life, education and career options eventually finding her calling and exceling as an Addiction Counselor in the substance abuse community, a true advocate for those struggling with the disease.
Patricia accepted and received Salvation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 22, 1993 at Image of God Church in Christ (IOGCIC) under the Discipleship of the late Elder Robert L. Williams. She recommitted her life in service to God at IOGCIC on September 21, 2003.
Patricia is survived by and leaves to mourn her mother Alzadia Hinnant, husband Francis Middleton, two daughters Cynthia and Luchiea Hinnant; 10 grandchildren Montae Hinnant, Andre Grissom, Chase Hinnant, Joshua Grissom, Anaiah Grissom, Kennedy Hinnant, Madison Grissom, Jeremiah Grissom, Daniel Grissom and Mason Ewers. Three great-grandchildren Nylan Grissom, Kimberlee Jackson and Dylan Cohen. Her siblings Charles Hinnant, Clarence Hinnant, Gwendolyn Hamilton, Cherrell Beach and Louis Hinnant. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a magnitude of family and friends all who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her loving father Clarence Hinnant and her beloved son Eugene Coingus Hinnant and two older brothers Ricky Broadus and Larry Hinnant.
Patricia, Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Wife we all love you fiercely but Jesus loves you best, He called you home to finally have your rest free from judgement and all the pain. Rest easy in the King’s arms until we all meet again rejoicing and walking around heaven all day!
