I miss my good good work friend!  Learning of your passing after the fact really hit hard.  I will miss you Qula. Your bubbly voice and infectious smile were radiating.  The soft giggles, we had a ball a work.  Your emails, phone calls checking in on me and vice versa, when the last email didn't get answered, I knew something was amiss.  Never saw this coming.  I know heaven is rejoicing your presence.  Joy!

We will always remember Que’s warmth and beautiful smile and the love she had for Jehovah.  Que was very kind and looked after the older ones as if they were her own parents. Still trying to comprehend that Q is no longer physically with us. So thankful for the wonderful memories we have of her and of her unforgettable smile and most of all of Jehovah’s promise of the resurrection. May Jehovah be a source of comfort and strength during this time. I had the privilege of meeting Qula a few years ago during my SMPW shift and working with her on several occasions. In 2021, we were also blessed to attend Pioneer Service School together, where we were assigned a demonstration as partners. She had the brightest smile and the kindest demeanor. Hearing of her passing deeply saddened me, but I look forward to the day when I will see her again, and her radiant smile will shine just as brightly once more.

We heard about Qula when she and Avon got married. And we got to meet her when they visited Hawaii for their anniversary 💕 
Qula was a beautiful delight! She was genuinely a nice person. We were looking forward to seeing her and Avon on our next trip to the DMV.

When I  got a message that my best friend abd sister had passed, I was in a state of shock. I sent a text but made a call on her phone to her those sad words that she is gone.

Qula was like a little sister to me. I was given a task from her grandmother to stufmdy with her. I did at that time she wasn't ready. Then  as time went by I kept in touch and she was ready. We started again and another sister continue but it was Jehovah that made it grow.  Anyone that knew Qula that when she put her mind to something it eas going to get done.

We used to do what I called Blue Moon dates. If anyone knows about those LOL. On those days we would go to our favorite spot on Branch Avenue that's right  Red Lobster 🦞.  We had talked a few days before her passing about Avon's first public talk and possibly getting together abd going to our favorite place soon.

I know we will see her soon but until then I know that Jehovah will give Avon and his family comfort, just as he will the rest of us.  May the God of all comfort be with all of us.

The bridal shower that her soon to be husband put together with his family and close friends.  She was so surprised and very happy.  My best friend will truly be missed.

To my loving friend and brother, may Jehovah continue to comfort you and give you strength until we see her again soon.

On the day the Avon proposed this is what I received!  They had driven to her Grandmother's house where he proposed.  It was a happy day for all of them.

Qula, my loyal and sincere friend. Truly loving and lovely. She taught me the truth. Always encouraging. She saw me through trials that were sure to confront new believers.  Her random beautiful cards, souvenirs from her travels, words of encouragement and of course her the sound of her infectious laughter and smile are reminders of my “spiritual mom”. Years after I relocated she declared to me, “you really did make the truth your own.”

I love Qula’s big smile in this picture, taken in 2019 at the Poland Bethel, standing next to a tall Polish brother. Though small in stature, her heart was immense, and she was a true friend to me and so many others. She was truly a special person, and I considered her a sister. She encouraged me to put more effort into my service to Jehovah, not through words, but through her example. I can’t wait to see her again in the new world. ❤️

Qula and I was about to cut a rug to an oldie but goodie.  She danced with me a few years ago.  We moved body parts we forgot we had.  It was so much fun.  I will miss her so much.  💙  we were supposed to go skating this month.  She said she would tutor me because it had been a long time since I went skating.  I purchased my skates.  Our last conversation was me telling her that they sent me the wrong color.  She responded late because she lost her phone.  She found it in the backyard 🤣 that’s my Que!  We always laughed about our awkwardness.  I was happy to find a friend who I could relate to.   I can’t wait to tell her I picked up my skates and haven’t gone skating yet ( procrastinating ). She will laugh with her high pitched voice.  I can’t wait to see her again. Revelations 21:3,4 is more comforting than ever now.

My heart is filled with sorrow to hear about Qula’s passing My name is Sandra Stanfield and I was her Hairstylist for many years. I will always remember her beautiful, bright smile, and Flare for fashion.
She was a genuinely caring and loving person.

Qula affectionately know as "Q" to some was named after my great-grandmother. 
Qula, my dear cousin, was like a sister to me. We grew up together in the same household most of our childhood and adolescence, and we remained close into adulthood. Thinking about all the countless conversations, dancing, eating crabs (one of her favorite foods), traveling, the sound she made when she would laugh
brings a smile to my face because I'm so grateful to have Qula in my life. I looked up to Qula in many ways as her little cousin, although I'm taller. Qula was always there to give a helping hand or a prayer when needed. I love her so much. While I'm still grieving her loss, I will hold on to all the memories, and there are many. Studying with Qula and some of her sisters over the years helped me gain a closer relationship with Jehovah. Qula would always send me quotes, pictures, and texts just to say have a great day unprovoked.  I miss my sister/cousin dearly. 
Please keep our family uplifted in prayer.

My name is Mr. Audwin Wright,  I am Qula's uncle.  I  last remember seeing Qula, at a church event when she was about 4 years old. She came back into my life in August of 2023.  I would send encouraging morning messages to her every morning.   We text 
often,  sometimes, for hours.  She often referred to me as, uncle.  The love I began to feel,  from this new person retuning,  in my life ♥️  will be missed greatly.  I am consoled by the beautiful individual she was, and more-so,  by the commitment to her faith.  She was one of the most respectful I  will have met in  this journey called life.

After receiving a call from one of  Qula’s closest friend, the words “Qula is gone” filled me with indescribable grief.  Rellying on the God of Comfort and meditating on the “peace of God that surpasses all understanding”  has helped  me to remain calm. Qula had faith in her heavenly Father Jehovah and had a record of sacred service to her God. 

For Q, family did not necessarily mean that one had to be her blood relative. She often expressed how much she loved and appreciated, her grandparents. Over the years I was happy to meet some of her sisters, Angie, Lena, Tasha, Hope, Nicole and her Mama uptown. Her family grew as a result of her spiritual journey.  At congregation meetings she would address older sisters as Mama or Auntie and older brothers as Dad or Uncle. She loved helping the older friends.  

In 2011 Q moved to the West congregation family. This is when our friendship began.

Q was hospitable, if she could help you in any way she would.  If you needed a listening ear she was there. Q was like a sister to me and to my husband, Danny. Q became  a part of both sides of our families. Yes, Monday night Zoom chat will be missing less one. She was apart of the “Golden Girls” Zoom watchtower  family study  created during COVID-19.

Q and Jessie ,another one of our sisters, went with us to an international bible conference to Poland in 2019.Danny and I asked if they were sure they wanted to  travel not only to Poland but London and Greece with the two of us for 3 weeks.  They said,” of course you guys are funny and you make us laugh.” We had so much fun. 
All  of us have a Qula story or adventure that we will treasure forever. The adventures have been  paused for now. So  instead of saying goodbye I'm saying see you later Q . 

"Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come  out" John 5:28

Going to school with Qula was amazing. She was kind and always had the most beautiful smile. Then, many years later, finding out she was also my spiritual sister made my heart full. She will be so missed. May she rest in the safest place she can be, Jehovah's memory. I know he longs for the day he will restore her, and this time to perfection. My heart goes out to all who loved her. You are all in my prayers.

Qula will TRULY be missed.  The Monday chat group was very quiet this week after we found out. I could not think. The last thing said to me was "boy you know you special" followed by "boy you are crazy". She would then give a smile then laugh at what was I doing or saying giving me hints to stop or ask where is your wife. 

Jessie, along with my wife and I were able to travel to 3 countries with Qula, she was truly our sister. Many viewed Qula as their family member though it was not by blood it did not matter, she was just that type of person. 

Her 1st memory of meeting me was hiking on a trail in Great Falls, MD. around 2011.
It wasn't until later when Qula became close with my wife that we both realized this. I told a story of what I did years ago on a hiking trip, apparently this jogged Qula's memory and she said "hold up you were that were that crazy guy on the trail, that explains why you so special". Thus began a term of endearment that continued for over a decade. 

I'm looking forward to seeing our friend again when all is new. I'll pray that all can endure with the emotions that will come and go as we each await to continue on with our friendship where it went on pause.

The loss of Qula will bring to light long standing friendships she shared across the DMV area. Relationships she has developed over the course of decades. I believe it is in fact safe to say that the likeness many were drawn to was her chill disposition and appreciation for people. Her ability to care led her to house friends in need, transport folks in her car and engage in other acts of kindness without drawing attention. Additionally she showed kindness by serving as a full time evangelizer in local and Special Metropolitan ministries, teaching her neighbors the bible...truths that made her whole.  She showed care for the vulnerable population of elderly sisters in formerly associated congregations assigned and treasured time with developed friends as well. 

A part of 1 of her family routines was Monday night movie watch in the Zoom family room. Since 2020, Qula, Amber (Dan when he behaves), Cheryl, Jessie, Theresa, Courtney, Karen, Twine and Jazz have chatted our way thru snacks and ice cream while chair dancing to music, singing off key, looking at movies, building each other up thru joy and helping to cope thru tears the various trials faced. While we enjoyed Qula, this friendship circle wasn't unique because Qula made friends with everyone. 

And now, suddenly, the adjustment of not being able to chit chat and giggle with Qula is a new norm... a difficult reality. Now our chat group is less one.

So looking forward to the time when you are awaken under perfect conditions with perfect health, the bible hope she believed in and taught. 

Until such time, developed memories and the bibles promises will serve as a comfort. 

Rest in the Creator's memory, sister.

I am very grateful to have had Qula in my life since she was 14 years old. I had the opportunity to not only mentor, encourage, and love her, but to also see her blossom into a beautiful woman and wife. I will forever cherish and hold on to every moment we shared together in my heart.
