Roberta and I were walking buddies and great friends.   I will miss her so much.   My sympathy goes out to her family and especially her children and I pray for peace and comfort at this time of sorrow.   
Roberta and I walked 1/2 hour 2x a week.   We used to laugh at each others funny stories and share family experiences.   Her 2  grandchildren made her eyes light up with delight as she shared such special moments with them .   Her daughters wedding, family gatherings and her two grandsons were the joy of her life.    

Roberta used to give me rides home from work when I had to walk.   If the weather was just not "walking weather" she would be right at my door asking if I wanted a ride.    She is caring, generous and prayerful.   Her smile lighted up my office as we would chat during the day.     Even when I was out on medical leave, Roberta always texted me to see how I was doing.    

Did I mention how smart she was?   When I was working with ITSD, it was Roberta who took care of equipment returns, expense statements, orders and so many other parts of my job that needed to be done according to Lab Policy.   Roberta knew the forms, and policies.   Once I gave her the information on the item, it was just done!  

I have had a special candle ordered for Roberta at the Shrine of St. Anthony.  It is a large candle with Roberta's name on it.   It will be lit on Christmas Eve and stay lit through the Christmas Holiday Season.  It will be lit and Masses will be said through the season to remember our loving sister in Christ.   

My God grant the Parker family comfort and peace.   I know that from Roberta's new home in Heaven, you will all see such good coming from her intercessions from above.   Know that I will never forget Roberta Parker, my friend and walking buddy will always be in my prayers.

I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing away of Roberta Parker. My heart goes out to your family at this difficult time. I pray that God will grant you the strength needed to get through this moment in your life. May the care and love of those around you provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead.  I will surely miss the presence of a truly kind person like Roberta. 
I worked with Roberta for the last 8 years. She helped us through planning numerous parties with great enthusiasm. We often talked about her godson, whom she loved and adored. His mention always brought a smile to her face. 
My sincere condolences go out to your family.  She will forever be in our hearts and memories. May she rest in peace!

Where do you start when you have memories of your friend since elementary school through high school, maid of honor in my wedding, God mother to daughter, confidant, and life time friend?

Roberta was a fun person who enjoyed dancing, and hanging out with her friends and family.  I remember good times when we would hang out together with her sisters just laughing and dancing all night.  She was always a warm person who greeted you with a hug.  Our families are extensions of each other because of our friendship throughout years and a void is present because of her loss.

Roberta will never be forgotten because she leaves her legacy in her children, grandchildren, family and friends.  

Dwight, Keisha and Maquita know that I love you dearly.  We will stay connected and continue to honor the memory of my treasured friend and your Mom.

She will be missed but never forgotten.




Although words cannot even begin to express the sorrow at the loss of such an amazing person, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.  
I worked with Roberta at APL for the last 8 years and she was well respected and always a pleasure to interact with.  She made our lives easier and was a great party planner!  
It breaks my heart thinking that Roberta is no longer with us in person but her spirit living on does give a small fraction of consolation. But my grief, I'm sure, pales in comparison to yours.
She touched my life in the little time I knew her and I will never forget her!
