Roland Anthony Fox

Roland was born on November 17, 1977, to Robert Alan Fox, Jr. and Jettie Lee Fox. He attended Prince George’s County Public Schools and Mecklenburg Public Schools. He later attended trade school, earning certificates in Welding and Plumbing. Roland worked for the Mecklenburg Department of Transportation and held several other jobs after returning to the DMV area.

Roland was a visionary, a helper, and a man of faith. He loved God, children, helping others, cats, music, and sports. He was a talented musician who created several songs and made guest appearances on other artists’ music. He was also a diehard Washington Commanders fan.

Roland accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Personal Savior at an early age and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Mount Rainier and became a member of Cedar Baptist Church.

Roland was always willing to help those in need. Whether helping someone find a place to stay or opening his own home, he never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His favorite Scriptures were John 3:16 and Psalm 23, which reflected the faith he carried throughout his life.

Roland leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Robert and Jettie Fox; his brother, Robert Fox III (Big Bro); his sister, LaWanda Prailow; nieces, LaWanda Simmons, Charmane Mixon, Eliyah, Briana, and DeMiyah Simmons; nephews, Eric D. Jackson, Andre Prailow Jr., Bobby Brown Jr. (BJ), Xavier Prailow, and Ryeon Abrams; cousins, Michelle Wilson, Darrell Wilson, Mika Daniels, Slug, and Fats; special friends, Michelle Everett, The Real Black Luck, Ellen, Varnell, Angie, Davon, Mike, Missy, Kimony, and Cynthia, and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Andre Prailow Sr., and niece, Andrea Prailow.

Roland will always be remembered for his big heart, his vision, his love for God, his willingness to help others, his music, and the many lives he touched.

Rest well, Bink. You are loved, you are missed, and you are forever in our hearts.
