Ruth Ann Brewster, daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Sherman-Ladson, was born November 9, 1929, in Greenville, South Carolina. She departed this life peacefully on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at her home in Fort Washington, Maryland.
She was educated in the Greenville public schools. She relocated to Washington, DC area in 1955. She worked various government jobs and retired in October 1969.
She married Aaron Brewster in 1947. From their union, seven children were born: James Alvin, Jimmy (Deceased), David Lewis, Robert Lee, Debbie Ann Gaither (Deceased), Tommy and Randolph. Ruth was a loving wife and mother, grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memory five sons: James Alvin, David Lewis, Robert Lee, Tommy and Randolph Brewster. Her grandchildren: Carlos, Immani, Jamale, Jared, Nathaniel, Derrick, Daryl, RoDonna, Robin, LaTanya, James, Dameon, Keisha, Randolph, Jr. and 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
