Stewart Wesley Tyner has many nicknames just as he gave nicknames to others. He was known as Grandpa, Daddy, Stewie or Stew. Stew was called “Grandpa” by his only Granddaughter (Elena). He was also called Daddy by his only daughter (Lindsay). The kids who grew up around him also called him “Daddy” and “Grandpa”. Even though he only had one daughter and one granddaughter he had many children through out the community. He would take them fishing, buy candy or ice cream for them and if they had a problem with their bike, he would fix if for them.
Stew was the type of person who would light up the room as soon as he walked in. It didn’t matter if you were having a bad day at work or school as soon as he showed his face it would make the other person smile. He just gave off that positive / comfortable vibe and always kept you laughing. With his corny jokes, sense of humor and his generosity not one person in this world could say anything bad about him.
He was a simple plan man who wore his White T shirts, Blue Jeans, and Wolverine work boots every day. He didn’t ask for much and appreciated everything he had. He would give a stranger his last dollar even if that meant he would be left with nothing because that was his happiness, helping someone. Helping someone out was just something he had always done naturally.
Stew could tell you inside and out about a Motorcycle, 18 wheeler or a classic car. As he would say “I can’t tell you much about these new cars. There just a bunch of plastic but an old car I can”. And if he was trying to do house repairs in the house and messed up something he would say something like “Well I’m no plumber but I can drive hell out of an 18 wheeler”’
Stew worked for several moving companies over the years. Either as a tracker trailer driver or a mover, he did everything. He made many friends over the years through out the moving businesses. He would always pick on someone on the jobs especially his brother in law Roy Shurger but it was all out of love. At work or anywhere if Stew didn’t give you a nickname you were just called “Honey”. Stew was just an all-around good person to everyone around him.
He leaves to morn a devoted daughter, Lindsay Tyner, his son in law Angel Jimenez, his granddaughter Elena and his sister Teresa Tyner. Also many friends / children in the community To be with our heavenly father and his companion Karen Shurger, his mom Geraldine Tyner and his sister Kathrine Tyner.
